PASTOR GOODMAN

Pastor Jason Goodman grew up attending church in Louisville, KY. He accepted the Lord as his personal Saviour as a 16-year-old young man. That same year, he was called to preach at a youth camp. Upon graduating high school, he attended and graduated from Bible college with a BS in Pastoral Theology.

Jason and Rebecca met at college and married in December of 1999. After college, Jason and Rebecca moved back to Louisville, KY, and worked for Shawnee Baptist Church, Jason’s home church, in 2000. When an opening became available for a position at Indian Creek Baptist Camp, Jason took the opportunity, and served at the camp from 2001 to 2011. During that time, the family was blessed with three children: Michael, Trina, and Ashley. After 11 years, the Lord brought Jason and Rebecca to Manchester, TN where Jason was the youth pastor and both he and Rebecca taught in the Christian school. In 2016, the family moved back to Indiana and joined Calvary Road Baptist Church as a lay couple that served. Jason served as a deacon, drove a Sunday school bus, taught an adult Sunday school class, filled in for song leading as needed, and provided pulpit supply when the pastor was gone. Rebecca served in the choir, nursery, Sunday school, and ladies’ meetings. She also went back to school and obtained a BS in Elementary Education while teaching in Christian schools. She then completed her MS in School Administration through Bob Jones University. In 2024, Jason felt the Lord directing him back into full-time ministry. In the fall of 2024, the pulpit committee of Bible Baptist Church reached out to Jason to begin the process of candidating for the pastorate. Jason was voted in as pastor mid-December of 2024, and Jason and Rebecca moved to Jefferson City, MO, in January of 2025.
